Free — takes 40 seconds

Your policy, in your words.

Monthly or 6-month premium, the company, the cars (year, paid off or financed), the drivers (ages, any tickets), how many miles a year, and the coverages if you know them — PIP, property damage, bodily injury, collision, comprehensive, deductibles.

Free. Takes a few seconds.

Why this exists

Discounts are given to people who ask. Most people never do.

Florida law requires two discounts nobody mentions. Most insurers give six more on request. And many drivers carry collision on a car worth less than the deductible. This lists what to ask for — in the order that saves the most — and gives you the words.

Common questions

Is this really free? Is what I paste stored?

The core discount and coverage check is free, and nothing you type or paste is stored — there's no account. If you want a printable call script for one policy it's $4.99, and a monthly plan for credit unions, unions or employers is $99/month; those are optional add-ons, not required to use the tool.

Will using this actually lower my car insurance bill?

The tool doesn't promise any savings — it's not an insurance agent and it can be wrong. It shows you the discounts Florida law requires insurers to give plus common ones most companies offer but don't advertise, so you know what to ask your agent about.

What discounts is my insurance company legally required to give me in Florida?

Florida law requires a discount if you complete an approved defensive-driving course — must be offered to drivers 55 and older (Fla. Stat. 627.0652) — and a discount for approved anti-theft devices and airbags (Fla. Stat. 627.0653). You have to ask for these and give your insurer the certificate; the company won't apply them automatically.

Can I drop bodily injury or collision coverage to save money?

Florida only requires $10,000 PIP and $10,000 property damage liability; bodily injury liability isn't required for most drivers, but the tool says it's strongly recommended and shouldn't be dropped. Collision and comprehensive may not be worth keeping on an older, paid-off car, but if the car is financed, the lender requires both — check with your agent before changing anything.

My teenager just got their license — how much will that raise my rate?

Adding a teen driver raises the premium substantially, and the tool doesn't invent a number for you. It points to the usual offsets — good-student, driver-training and telematics discounts — and reminds you never to leave a household driver off the policy.
